Submit/Update REB Applications

You can submit or update an REB Application using the IRIS login page. (You will be prompted for your network login details)

To submit an application:

  • Log In
  • Click on IRIS Research Portal
  • Click on Apply New

You’ll find various application forms online including:

  • Standard Application Form
  • Multi-Jurisdictional Research (MJR) Form
  • Request for Exemption Form
  • Change and Amendment Form
  • Additional Documentation Form

The initial review can take 4-6 weeks from the date of submission.  Some applications may take longer due to the additional information or clarifications that the Board may require. If your project has a sensitive timeline, please ensure to submit your application in advance to ensure review prior to your research commencement date.

The REB is currently experiencing a high volume of submissions.  As a result, the initial review process will take longer than usual.  We apologize for the delay and the inconvenience this may cause.
