Conducting research

Successfully conducting research is an important aspect of your faculty career at the university. Researchers can apply for funding to support travel, conferences, students, technicians, materials and equipment.

The Office of the Vice-President Research, Innovation and International (OVPRII):

  • Identifies and promotes current funding opportunities for faculty.
  • Provides workshops and resources for grant development.
  • Seeks funding opportunities for specific research programs.
  • Supports applicants throughout the grant application or contract process.
  • Administers successfully funded grants, awards and contracts.
  • Serves as a point of contact with agencies.

The OVPRII also facilitates specific funding opportunities for your graduate or undergraduate students.
